Just a little reminder: French do not use commas to separate numbers. Instead, we use spaces. I'm not sure this is relevant to you right now, but it's very important to remember it later on, because a French person who doesn't know that Americans put a comma will not understand your numbers.

"aire urbaine" and "aire m茅tropolitaine" does not sound french. You can say it in this way :


- il y a 11 174 743 personnes qui habitent dans la ville m锚me et 9 644 507 dans l'agglom茅ration. [ it is useless to repeat "personnes qui habitent, the context implies it]





- 6 719 200 visitent la tour Eiffel chaque ann茅e [ "visiter" implies seeing, and it is the tour Eiffel and not the "tour d'Eiffel"]





- qui est situ茅e sur la colline. We don't have the subject, I have supposed that it is "la tour Eiffel" so "situ茅e" need an "e". If I have mistaken, correct in respect with the subject. An hill is "colline" not "mountain" which a lot bigger.

The figure of 9.6 million is called an "agglom茅ration" in this article: En 1999, l'agglom茅ration d茅finie par l'Insee comprend 396 communes et totalise 9 644 507 habitants[51].





Sounds like an entity defined by this government office INSEE, like the US defines the "Baltimore-Washington corridor" as one statistical entity even though Baltimore and Washington do not consider themselves part of the same urban area at all.





I would think it's "chaque ann茅e" for your Eiffel Tower sentence, and possibly "colline" for hill.|||"metropolitan area" = r茅gion (zone) m茅tropolitaine
