To say 'I am going to go to the mountains' do you say 'Je vais aller a la montagne' or 'Je vais a la montagne' do you need the 'aller' after 'vais'?|||They are both correct but have slightly different meanings.
Je vais aller 脿 la montagne = I am going to go to the mountains
Je vais 脿 la montagne = I am going to the mountains.
So you do need the "aller" if you want to say "I am going to go".
@lvjuvan: it's "j'irai", not "je allerai". "aller" is irregular.|||it's "je vais aller a la montagne" or "je allerai a la montagne"|||You can also use a simple future tense and say "J'irai 脿 la montagne."|||Je vais aller a la montagne'
